ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. (ACE) is a holding company of various aviation interests. The Company operates in two segments: Air Canada and Corporate Items and Eliminations (CIE). As of December 31, 2008, ACE held a 75% direct ownership interest in Air Canada and a 27.8% direct interest in Aero Technical Support & Services Holdings sarl (ACTS Aero), which owns 100% of Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. ACTS Aero changed its name to Aveos Fleet Performance Inc. (Aveos) on September 23, 2008. Air Canada is a Canada-based domestic and international airline and a provider of scheduled passenger services in the Canadian market, the Canada United States transborder market and in the International markets to and from Canada. CIE includes the corporate, financing and investing activities of ACE.

WestJet Airlines Ltd. (WestJet) is engaged in the airline industy. WestJet operates fleet in North America, which comprises 76 Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft equipped with legroom, leather seats and live seatback television. Its fleet includes the Boeing Next-Generation 737-600, 737-700 and 737-800. Air Canada is a domestic and international airline. The Company is a provider of scheduled passenger services in the Canadian market, the Canada-United States transborder market and in the international market to and from Canada. During the year ended December 31, 2008, Air Canada, together with Jazz, operated an average of approximately 1,374 scheduled flights daily and carried approximately 33 million passengers and provided direct passenger service to 160 destinations and, through commercial agreements with other unaffiliated regional airlines, to an additional 11 destinations, for a total of 171 direct destinations on five continents. The Company has an agreement with Jazz, pursuant to which Air Canada purchases substantially all of Jazz's fleet capacity based on predetermined rates and Air Canada determines the routes and schedule operated by Jazz. It also generates revenues from cargo services provided by Air Canada and AC Cargo Limited Partnership.
